It is my sincere hope that you would continue Sashiko with Core & Essence.
Here is some follow-up information to maximize your workshop experience with us.
0. Review on QuiltCon App
When you have time, please visit the QuiltCon App, and leave the feedback about the Workshop you took. It will not only help the MQG, but it also will be a good encouragement to me as well. The Paper Questionnaire that I asked to fill out at the end of the workshop is for me. They do not go to QuiltCon Admin. Your time on QuiltCon App for the review for "Sashiko Workshop as a part of QuiltCon" is very much appreciated.
1. Social Media
The easiest way to connect with me is via Social Media.
I broadcast a live streaming on almost every Thursday night, 9 pm EST in English.
Just watching me stitching will refresh your memory.

You can find a lot of "How to" videos from this playlist. I will add more.

*If you cannot find the video you are looking for, please let me know. I will list them on the follow-up website above.
2. Online Store
When you are in need of Sashiko supplies like thread, fabric, and tools, please visit our online store.
Main: http://upcyclestitches.com/store
There are supplies and tools I have not listed on the online store. Everything you have used & seen in the class is available for sale, even some of the Jackets and/or Bags.
Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing an item that is not listed.
My goal is to encourage you to keep enjoying the Sashiko you learned, so I would like to offer the “Free Shipping (US Domestic) coupon” for the first order after Quiltcon.
If you live outside of the US, I will gladly offer a $5.00 discount on the Shipping (Please let me know first so that I can send you an invoice with adjusted shipping fee).
Here is a coupon for that: ZRJI6MB85INK
(*Article on how to use Coupon is here)
3. Sashiko Story from Cultural Perspective on Patreon
In the Sashiko [Core & Essence] Workshop, I shared with you the core of Sashiko - the posture and movement of the needle. I also shared as much "cultural story" as possible. However, I have many more stories to tell you.
I used to share the deeper & personal cultural perspective of Sashiko on Instagram (You can still read the stories on Instagram - check posts from May in 2019 to today).
However, because of SNS's character ("free and quick" so anyone can interpret my writing as they want), I got some unwanted outcomes. You can check what happened here.
https://upcyclestitches.com/cultural-appropriation-in-sashiko/
Long story short, I am now sharing a much more honest and personal understanding of Sashiko (from a cultural perspective, not technical), on Patreon.
Patreon is a website where people can support a creator/artist. This will help me to keep sharing the Sashiko, and I believe I provide reading materials & contents there for those who are willing to learn Sashiko even further. Then, one day, based on what I write on Patreon, I hope I can publish a book from the cultural perspective of Sashiko (not "How to Do Sashiko" book.)
Your support & willingness to learn is very much appreciated. Thank you.

Lastly, spreading your words (sharing your experience with me) would be super helpful to me.
Since the website contents are getting too rich (too many), I am preparing some simple websites so it is easy to tell your friends & family what Atsushi does.
Please share this website so anyone new to Sashiko can grasp the idea of Sashiko.

If you are a part of Organizations/Groups/Guilds who may be interested in having me as the Sashiko instructor, I am happy to consider! Please ask the person who is in charge to contact me so that I can send the benchmark of possible fee, terms and conditions.
If you make content such as web-magazine or podcasts, after the [Core & Essence], I am happy to collaborate with you. Let me know what I can do for you for that matter as well.

Alright.
I believe I covered everything I mentioned in the class. The videos I mentioned in the workshop will be listed on the website above.
Please let me know if I missed anything.
Please let me know if you have any questions or requests I can fulfill.
I am here to support you continuously. This is just the beginning of "Your Sashiko". I am looking forward to seeing your Sashiko next time I see you.
I learned a lot from you today, too.
Your suggestions, honest opinion, and advice are very much appreciated.
If I can do anything better, especially in spreading the culture of Sashiko, please help me out! Words from your mouth to the others AND the beautiful accomplishment of your projects (including that assignment!) will spread our Sashiko Story. That will help me to come back to QuiltCon as well.
Please keep in touch & Enjoy Sashiko!!
Sincerely,
Atsushi (Azu) Futatsuya
